Perim-EATER!
Using the sheet below, students will learn how to measure the perimeter of things using links. I found that is best to measure things that are not much bigger than a folder or textbook.
I introduced this to my students by explaining that this was the "Perim-EATER monster!" and he only eats the perimeter of things. Pretend that this folder is a hot, delicious fudge brownie. MMMMMM! The Perim-EATER monster would eat all the sides off the brownie (MUNCH! MUNCH! MUNCH!). I would pretend like I was the monster eating a yummy delicious brownie!
